Happy Sunday Everyone!

It's my birthday today, a day I share with famous musicians like Elvis and David Bowie.

It's a day for fun, rest, and relaxation.

Or I may just organize that closet I've been meaning to get to.

I am so full of joy right now. My husband and my twins have let me sleep in today and I got a wonderful breakfast made for me this morning. NEW for November on the PFATT Marketplace...

Well, I decided to try something a little different this month. I don't often have a chance to make a large Christmas piece, but I have recently become full of the Christmas Spirit and felt

the need to sculpt this piece.

It is 12 1/2 inches tall and about 7 1/2 inches wide.

Each little elf was sculpted separately and each little wool felt coat was tailored to fit each one individually. It was so much fun to make!

My son named this piece for me. He said it looked like Cirque Du Snow'leil.

I thought it was clever and kept it.

This piece will be available on the PFATT Marketplace tomorrow, Nov. 10th. The update happens at 10 AM Pacific time, Noon Central, 1 PM Eastern.

Hello Dear Friends,

I had planned to share a big Halloween Party with you that was going to take place here in my home. But Alas, my chill has spread to my little pumpkin children and we need to stay warm and cozy so that we are bright eyed and healthy for All Hallow's Eve.

However, I certainly will not miss this Halloween blog event. So I thought, what better Halloween Party is there to share than Ghoultide Gathering! I have not had a chance to post photos yet, so today, I will share the biggest Artful Halloween Party there is!

I have been fortunate enough to attend this gathering the last three years and each year it gets better and better!

So come with me and I will be your tour guide to this magical event.

But first, I want to offer you a special treat. After all, a Halloween Party is not a Party without a treat.

Wow, There are so many great things going on right now I almost don't know where to begin!

First of all I am packing and planning this week so that I don't forget anything before my yearly trip to Ghoultide Gathering. I am so in love with this event! It is pure Magic! It makes you feel that giddy excitement you felt as a child right before going Trick or Treating!!! If you ever get an opportunity to go to this art show please take it! It is an experience that you will treasure always. There are so many talented artists from all over in one historical location. Some of my PFATT sisters are also Ghoulies at this event and I can't wait to hang out with them! So much Fun ahead!!!

More Great News is that I have the honor of being PUBLISHED again! This time in Celebrate 365!

Not only is my art work in this magazine but I share a page with Scott Smith of Rucus Studios among other magnificently talented artists! Scott is my favorite Halloween Artist so I am thrilled that my work is included with his!!!

Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I am in the greatest of moods because it is beginning to feel, smell, and taste like Fall here in Central Illinois.

I have been busy creating new art work with Halloween and Day of the Dead in mind. I also recently found out that Miss Vanessa's Halloween Blog Party will be Oct. 22nd. All of the details are not ironed out yet but I will keep you posted as I will definitely be participating. I have already begun working on my GIVEAWAY Piece for this Magical Event!

I have also begun preparations for my yearly pilgrimage to Northville, MI for The Amazing Ghoultide Gathering. It looks like I may be going solo this year but that is OK as I have many Ghoulie friends that will be there. If you are going please send me a message as I love to meet all my blog land friends.

I finally got my Halloween boxes back after they were published in the current Somerset Studio Gallery Magazine. I decided to part with two of the three boxes, so far. New Pieces for the Halloween Queens Bootique Update

Hello everyone, I appreciate all the congratulations and well wishes I have received from all of you here and on facebook regarding being published. I'm still so very excited about it.

I also want to give you all a look at my new art work . Both of these pieces will be available on the Halloween Queens Bootique when it updates on August 1st.

First up is Henri the friendly haunted tree ornament.

His limbs are posable and he is 5 inches tall and 1 inch wide at his face. He will be on the ornament page.

Next up, I'd like to introduce you to Epiphania a Day of the Dead Ghost Lady. She is made out of muslin fabric. Her eyes, nostrils, and individual teeth are all needle sculpted by hand. Epiphania also has posable arms. She is 10 inches tall not including her dress shreds. If you include the length of her dress she is 12 inches tall.

I have been published in this Falls new issue of Art Doll Quarterly!!!! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! I am in some pretty awesome artistic company!!! It's a lot of fun to go through such an outstanding periodical as this and see so many magical works of art by so many of my artist friends. Congratulations to all those included in this issue!!! Everyones art makes this one of the best ADQ issues I've ever seen.

Magical Mad Tea Party & GIVEAWAYS!!!

Hello and Welcome one and all!

The last time we met I shared that this curious fellow had come to vist my garden and remind me to work feverishly on all the preparations for the tea party.

How exciting to have all my Blogland friends return for this years tea party!

Welcome! WELCOME!!!

Well I lost track of the white rabbit but I did happen upon a very strange scene.

I found a girl sleeping in the forrest by a spooky grumpy tree. The tree was definitely upset about something...

So upset and angry that he woke the poor girl with a startle.

"What did you do, you foolish girl"

"I am not foolish! and my name is Alice." She responded.

"Well, Alice you just drank some of the liquid in that blue bottle then spilt in next to me and shrunk us both!" " What have you done! I was the King of the Forest and now even the flowers will laugh at me"

Alice was advising the old tree on how to find his muchness when she heard something over her shoulder.

"That's not the REAL Alice! She stepped on us and crushed us before she shrank, Alice would never do such a thing!"

Alice apologized profusely as she left them to bicker amongst themselves.

She was hopeful that she could find her way back home from this crazy curious world. I think I heard one of the flowers say that the Witch could tell me how to get home. I must find the Witch.

She searched everywhere, under every rock and mushroom.

Finally she saw something in the distance and ran towards it!

She was tired but determined!

To find out what was going on.

What she saw was Magical, Wonderful, and Amazing!

Suddenly she heard a screech say "Who are you and what do you want here!"

"My my name is Alice and I was told that you would be able to tell me how to get home".

Once Alice explained what happened with the tree and the flowers the Witch was excited!

She had been having to fly way around that Huge Grumpy Old Tree and was so grateful to Alice for shrinking him that she invited her to stay for the Mad Tea Party. She also told her the secret to get home.

Alice did not want to be rude so she stayed and had a great time!

The Witch was such a gracious hostess.

There were so many goodies!

There's that silly White Rabbit. There were so many famous guests in attendance.

The music was delightful!

I'm SOOO Excited!!! I've been published in Somerset Studio Gallery!!!

I found out I have been published in a strange sort of way. You see this week was terribly busy working 10 1/2 hour days and having to drive 40 min to and from work. So when I got home Tues. and got the mail, I just set a magazine aside thinking it was one of my subscriptions. I was too tired to enjoy it so I thought I'd save it for later.
Well the week just kept getting busier and busier and the magazine got buried under a pile of mail. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I did not get to that pile of mail until today and when I saw that it was not a magazine I subscribe to I was puzzled. On further inspection I saw a note that began with "Congratulations..." I about fell over, I could not believe that I was published in this magazine! It's really kind of crazy as I submitted these boxes I made in 2009 over 15 months ago and I had lost hope that they would be considered for publication. Then, out of the blue, there it is. Needless to say I am still flying high on excitement!
It's interesting to see how much I have grown in 2 years and it's very nice to have a public record of your artistic growth. : )

This magazine will hit the newsstands and Bookstores on June 1st.

This is my Beautiful Mama that I love with all my heart. I wanted to start this post with celebrating all the moms out there on this gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make to give the best you can to your children. Thank you for loving us no matter what and Thank you for always being so encouraging and our biggest cheerleader. Even though we never say it enough, we love you more than words can ever express. Happy Mothers Day!

I also wanted to share a quick picture of my PFATT Marketplace offering.

I call them "Trick or Treat" Halloween Dollings (small dolls). They are 3 1/2 inches tall except the witch, she is 5 inches tall because of her hat. These are being offered at $10 each or all 5 for $40.

There is only one set of these one of a kind dollings available and they will be available on a first come first served basis when the PFATT Marketplace updates on May 10th at 10 a.m.

Today would have been Penny McAllister's 59th Birthday and to celebrate her life and the wonderful, caring, encouraging impact she had on the Pfatties, her family and friends. Many of her family, friends, and Pfatties all over are launching balloons today to celebrate her life.

Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Penny. I myself have benefitted from her wonderful encouraging wisdom through her influence on the lovely ladies of PFATT. PFATT is a beautiful, supportive, encouraging group of artists know as the PFATTIES. I hear of Penny quite often and how proud Penny would have been of those PFATTIES who have recently submitted artwork for publication and those that have been published. I have heard that Penny was so much fun to be around and how much laughter was shared with Penny. Ultimately, I have learned about the wonderful person Penny was through them and I too wanted to celebrate Penny and say Thank you for the person you were and the influence you passed on so that artists like myself would be welcome and encouraged with open arms.

So I too felt moved to launch some balloons...

Hi everyone! I am super excited to let you all know that I will begin selling on the PFATT Marketplace this month! It is a HUGE honor to join so many amazingly talented artists!!! I'd like to share with you my first PFATT marketplace piece.
This piece is very special to me because it is inspired by my nephew Nicholas who I miss very much because he is in California while I am in Illinois. He has been taking his first steps in the last couple of weeks and I wish I was there to witness it. So I made this little duckling and titled the piece "FIRST STEPS". I hope you like it. Hello Everyone,
As I was busy creating Ms. Beatrice Bunny Japan suffered a massive catastrophic event. It is very difficult to stay focused on creating when so many of our brothers and sisters in Japan are suffering something I cannot even wrap my head around. The images I have seen are so devastating that clean up and return to any semblance of normalcy feels so daunting. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in Japan.

As I was listing Beatrice Bunny on EBAY tonight I found that EBAY has a way where you can contribute part of your sale to Japan's Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. Both Beatrice and I are so happy that we may be able to contribute in a small way. I can't tell you how much fun I had visiting all the blogs that I was able to get to during the One World One Heart blog event. I don't think anyone can visit every single blog. There are so many and each blog has so many interesting places to explore and get lost in.
I left a comment on many a blog and met many wonderful people along the way. As if discovering all these new places all over the world was not enough, I also was fortunate enough to win 3 GREAT blog giveaways.

I won a wonderful, very detailed Holiday recipe book from Mary Ann of Follow Your Bliss Designs. Thank you so much Mary Ann, my daughter and I have already started to add all of our holiday desert recipes to it.

Then I got notification that I won a wonderful set of vintage Spring fabrics in yellows and Blues and some vintage Birthday invitations from Jessica of Sunny Tuesday. What's in a name?

Recently I was talking with one of my good friends and she asked me what Anaboo meant. I then realized that she was the first to ask and I explained it as follows:
You see one of my favorite memories of the kids when they were little toddlers was playing Peak-a-boo. We would giggle for hours (literally, at times) and if you say peak-a- boo many times it begins to morph and change. Especially if the peak-a-boos are coming fast and your trying to keep the magical baby laughter going. So Peak-a- boo became And- a-BOO! That morphed again into An-A- BOO! and finally a really quick ANABOO! In my artwork, I aim to incorporate some of this fun and whimsy, with a bit of the wonder and the magic of a child's laughter when they are happily surprised and just a teeny tiny bit scared/startled.
This is why I chose Anaboo Creations. :) I am still very happy with the name.

PFATT Christmas Ornament Swap.

Hi Everyone,
I have been anxiously awaiting a package that came in the mail today!!!! This year I took part in the annual PFATT Christmas ornament swap. I made 4 ornaments and sent them to the swap queen then you receive 4 different ornaments from 4 other Pfatties.
I love my ornaments!!! Love LOVE LOVE!!!!! Here is what I got.

Clockwise starting at top left is Cindy Conrad of The pixies thimble, Joyce Stahl of Enchated Productions, Lori Davis of Vintage Palette Art and the stocking was not tagged but as soon as I find out I will add to this post. I am so excited to show you what my new and improved blog looks like. I use to have the most blah blog on the block and now it's a little more me.

Tamara created my blog banner from some photos of a few of my little creatures and some ideas I threw at her. She hit the nail right on the nose! I can be a very picky client and she worked with me every step of the way. Yesterday when I woke up the sky was grey and dark. It was a quiet morning and I did not expect to do much but catch up on housework.
While I had my coffee I decided to check my e-mail and to my jaw dropping surprise I received the most wonderful news. Lori Davis from PFATT sent me a message to let me know that I was accepted into the PFATT group.
I was so excited I ran around the house whooping and hollering. I think my husband thought I finally lost it. Suddenly, it seemed as though the clouds burned away and the sun was shinning and the birds were chirping.
It is a privilege and honor to be a PFATTIE! Thank you ladies for voting me into the group. I will try to make you proud.

I have been waiting for this event since last year! It is the most magical event you could ever experience. It is decorated for Halloween and so many uber talented artists are there to share their creations.
It is going to be even better this year because in the course of a year I have met and made many good friends on Facebook who will be there. Many are artists while others are collectors. I am really looking forward to meeting them all.
If you will be at GG, please stop me if you see me to say hello and/or share a ((Halloween Hug)). I will be wearing an orange and black crocheted cloche hat that I have added one of my pumpkin faces to. It's just a little face in the middle of the black flower. Oh and I will also be wearing clothing along with that (oops giggle). It would be way too cold otherwise ;)
I hope to have pictures and will report back when I get back.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to have been the lucky weiner (hehe winner) of this months EHAG giveaway. I have won 3 prizes from 3 very talented artists! A Chris Klinger original postcard! A Batty hag ornament from Sheila Bently! And a wonderful pumpkin head ornament from Allen Cunningham. Thank you sooo much Chris, Sheila and Allen for your beautiful artwork and for donating it for the giveaway and ultimately to me. I promise I will give them a good home.

When we were planning this Mad Tea Party I had no idea how huge it would be. It has been a huge thrill to find more friends with similar interests through this event. I really appreciate every one of you for taking the time to stop by and take a peak at our Mad tea Party! We had a great time putting it together and are already planning to make it grander next year!

I had a great time visiting each and every blog tea party on a fanciful twist's list.

I also want to send our condolences to Vanessa our Tea Party hostess for the loss of her Dog, Baby. The beautiful memorial moved me to tears. Thank you Vanessa for sharing your Baby with us. ((HUGS))

I'm so excited that I finished my first two swap items and have sent them to their new homes. I have already received great feedback on my Alice in Wonderland Swap that I made the Red Queen for. This went to Robert (Halloween Fanatic). My Cat for the Cat swap has gone to live with Hope in the UK.
